The sisters of Alpha Theta Gamma truly value diversity of background and personality, accepting our sisters just as they are. We make sure to empower our sisters. We will not break anyone down to fit a stereotype or particular "image" because we value each individual thing that makes a person unique. We are proud to be a tight-knit sisterhood. Beyond having a group of women as sisters, we also provide our sisters with invaluable skills to propel them forward in life.
Without hazing, our sisters still able to take pledges through a very enriching, meaningful, memorable experience that builds and strengthens their character (and most importantly, promotes true sisterhood).
We are also dedicated to community service, and motivate one another to help others. We work with our sisters to make their personal philanthropic interests happen. And as a young organization, all sisters have the opportunity to build upon it by creating new traditions, community service related, and non-community service related.

"Before this semester, I never once thought about joining a sorority. But after meeting some of the sisters of Alpha Theta Gamma Multicultural Sorority, Inc., I changed my mind. The ladies of ATG are a driven, powerful, and sophisticated group of young women. They encourage one another and push to bring about diversity and multiculturalism on campus. I found myself at home in their presence. I decided to join Alpha Theta Gamma because I wanted to be a part of the strong bond I saw the sister's held. As a driven lady, who is passionate about philanthropy, academics, diversity and leadership, I joined ATG. It's a decision I'll never regret."

"The Alpha Chapter and the very first multicultural sorority at the University of Maryland is what lingered on my mind when I first learned about Alpha Theta Gamma Multicultural Sorority, Inc. I saw the youthfulness of Alpha Theta Gamma as an opportunity to take a sharp turn from the norm and become a part of a unified movement. During my first contact with ATG I felt that they had very welcoming spirits. During all the events, I felt like I was surrounded by very powerful, intellectual, and goal-oriented women, women who I felt were great reflections of me. I wanted to have the opportunity to promote a change alongside women who are willing, supportive, and determined enough to make that change while forming lifetime bonds. This was something I had longed for in my life."
